SENTENCING

The Criminal Code of Canada sentencing regime is set out beginning at section 718. Depending on the offence with which you are charged, different options may be available, including a conditional discharge, suspended sentence, probation, fine, conditional sentence, provincial jail term or Federal jail term. An outline of each of these sentencing options is set out below.
